It does — the bevel is one of the biggest factors in how realistic your floor looks and how easy it is to keep clean. Here's what you need to know. What Is a Bevel? A bevel is the angled edge milled along the sides of a plank. When two planks meet, their bevels form a small V-shaped groove. That groove is what makes a floor read as individual wood planks instead of one continuous sheet of vinyl. There are four main approaches manufacturers use today. 1.
